So because I think many are douchebags I have a pre-programmed response? Wow. Nice use of sample size and clear thought.

also, do u really think he didn't ask to be traded "in house" first?

So its okay to act like a douche when you don't get what you want when you want it? Great, you just justified every hild who has ever whined they didn't get a toy right when they wanted it.

Why? Because I feel its a douchebag move to announce your bank account to the world? Or because I feel its a douchebag move to infer that you play "for love of the game" when you will try to get as much money as you can from every contrat you sign?

Oh that's brilliant! Give this man a cookie! Don't argue with my logic, simply say, you're the only one mad! Way to use majority opinion to form your own thougths!

correct. if u said that many of your ex girlfriends were whores i would infer that u mainly date whores. simple reasoning.

u were pronouncing the way he just came out and said this was douchey and there were many other ways he could have done it. i'm saying he more than likely has tried other ways.

him saying that he would rather not play than play in cincinnati isn't necessarily a bad thing to at this point if the organization is refusing to trade him. its an honest statement. i'm giving him the benefit of the doubt that the organization is the one being douchey since that is their reputation(again, simple reasoning)

I would entertain you some more, but the first 3 pages were more than enough to convince me that you are more than likely just on your period and wanting to attack whoever disagrees with you

Terrible reasoning, see, the ratio of the part(one ex) to the set (all exes) is MUCH BIGGER in your example than the part (Many athletes) to the set (all athletes) in the second example. Siple reasoning from a simple mind, but atrocious thinking skills.

Really? How would you know? By the way, announcing how much money you have in the bank is douchey on its face, even without extenuating circumstnces.

No, I listed an example of how he can be honest without being an utter douchebag.

Of course you are. And I'm crucifying him for the douchey statements he mde becasue he could have said th exact same thing in a different way and NOT come off like a bitchy douche.

Way to continue your trend of not using examples, logic or independent thought when coming up with an opinion!

If you run an organization and do you not do it well, you risk losing employees.

you don't know all the athletes so your set should be (athletes i know) and since you said u aren't into the NFL that number can be reduced. you are over-exaggerating your set for this argument to work for you. its not working though since 95% of the posters in this thread disagree w/ u. now go yell at your kid for being a douchebag b/c he wants a toy.

Wrong. I don't know ANY athletes, therefore my set is all athletes. I don't know Carson Palmer.

No I'm not. The set is pro athletes. Not the ones "I Know" because I don't know any.

Oh, so if the majority say something, it must be right? Brilliant deduction. Now go whine some more.

Edit: Others would be labeled as "selfish" players for demanding a trade as Palmer did earlier. It's safe to say that most other players would have been attacked by most posters here with a statement that he'd rather retire than play for the Bengals. When you add to that the claim that he brought up how wealthy he is, I think that many here would have attacked other players for that. Granted, I'm not calling for an attack on Palmer. Hell, I like what he's doing by standing up to management. I just wish that people would apply the same standards to all athletes when they speak, instead of selectively bashing some but not others. ok if u are going to be literal then the set should be (athletes i've heard through the media, which is still considerably less than (all athletes)

Oh, so if the majority say something, it must be right?

if u are driving into oncoming traffic u may consider changing lanes.

i just think in the realm of all things are douchey this isn't a blip on the radar considering the organization he is dealing with and my opinion that he has probably tried other avenues.

I don't have a problem with this in football. Look at Jenkins, Shockey, or any other football player in the later part of the contract. All the team has to do is cut him and its mostly scott free.

This shite is ridiculous. Palmer is proclaiming that he has enough in pocket to get by. His "I don't need to play for money" bit probably is nothing more than an announcement that he'd be willing to take a pay cut to change teams.

FWIW, the "I'm ready to live my life" comment strongly suggests that he's ready to retire if need be.
