In 2014 fined for racial slur and later for wearing different brand headphones than allowed by league contract. He was also investigated for sexual assault. They didn’t make playoffs. Harbaugh Fired.

Halfway through 2015 season with new coach he lost starting job to Blaine Gabbert and then sat out rest of season with injured left shoulder while later expressing interest in trade.

In 2016 with another new coach in Chip Kelley after multiple surgeries, going vegan, and added political distractions pushed by new girlfriend CK lost starting QB job at start of season, gained starting job back in October, but still got benched at least once in a season with team winning only one of his starts in 2016. At the end of season 49ers brought in Shanahan who didn’t think CK was a fit. In spring of 2017 CK opted out of his contract becoming a free agent.

He wasn’t immediately canceled in 2016 and in fact was allowed to regain starting job nor was he ever actually canceled. You are using his past in 2012 and 2013 the last time he was part of a winning team and just assuming he would have still too good to pass up in 2017 and also cared as much about football to except backup role and money.

It was the money - starter versus backup role especially - with teams and CK, the offense, and the overall team fit on top of his declining performance, results, and attitude over prior 2 seasons and possibly 3 not to mention his girlfriend comparing one owner considering signing him to a slave owner that caused his issues in 2017 and continued afterwards.

In 2018 Seattle thought again about signing him and tried to set up workout and meeting, but he would not answer if he was going to continue his protest or not and workout never happened.

In 2019 CK was offered his own workout for entire league, but an half hour before he canceled and did his own workout elsewhere. He also asked for $20,000,000 guaranteed from XFL.

Throughout he was made to be a hero by the media and the left and given large contract by Nike. He makes more money with less work using the myth and legend than if he took backup money and role with risk he would never move past that.

So again when was he canceled (unless you are including that he canceled himself)?

The Good year presentation slide shown at the plant did more than specifically include Trump campaign attire labeled as unacceptable while not including pictures Biden/Democratic campaign material as other examples of unacceptable. It also labeled Blue Lives Matter as unacceptable.

The audio along with presentation that was released later also oddly approved supporting what is just political messages for some due to zero tolerance. The blm and alphabet soup approved are basically political views if the one wearing isn’t black or an alphabet. Grouping them for anyone not only as allowed but saying allowed under zero tolerance while specifically excluding Blue Lives Matter in slide was a big issue.
“Some people may wish to express their views on social justice or inequity or equity issues such as black lives matter or LGBTQ pride on their face coverings, shirts or wristbands. That will be deemed approved because it applies with a zero-tolerance stance,” the speaker said during the meeting. “However if any associate wears all, blue, white lives matter shirts or face coverings, that will be not appropriate.”

They then said employee never got it approved and revised police support back in, clarified political part emphasizing both sides can’t be worn, and apologized for the confusion the presentation caused in both matters.

It was the kind of mixed up message that usually results in person giving it getting fired. It wasn’t just about a former president’s hurt feelings, but you have a nice truck after 30 years besides that added part about the tires and friends.
