Steph didn't come through when it mattered. Think of round 1 as a qualifying round. Round 2 is for everything.

Harris was great for us in college. I’m really glad he’s seen so much success in the NBA, especially after his rough start in Cleveland. The man works really hard.

Lebron?

It isn't strange Harris is having a great year now he isn't on team Lebrag.

Makes sense considering some playoff losses.

Some people are just wired differently than LeBron or Steph.

They're killers. Like Jordan, Larry Bird - he isn't losing no 3-point competition (in fact, he told everyone before the contest, you have no shot at winning.) And he won it on the last shot - money ball and put his finger up #1 before the ball even dropped.

Magic had to retire from AIDS and still played in the All-Star game and won MVP.

That's why people will always take those guys - Jordan, Magic and Bird over the current players like LeBron or Steph...they're all huggy huggy virtue signaling or as Bird called it "love-fests" - "that's what I hate about the game now is all these love-fests, they're all soft...I hated the opposition when I played."

They're rich and spoiled and lack any killer instinct. They're there just to hang with their buddies.

That's why the current NBA game sucks so bad compared to the 80's when it was like a CFB game with the crowds and the hatred and the fighting on the court.

Bird is an absolutely amazing basketball player. Easily top 10 no argument about it ever. But quit living in nostalgia. He's not touching Steph when it comes to 3-pointers.

Bird would crush Steph's 3pt stats playing now with the same rules. And he was a better player. Do you people not understand how much the game coddles perimeter offensive guys now? The whole game is perimeter driven with shooters everywhere. Bird would be unstoppable. No part of his offensive game could be stopped with today's rules.

I never believed in "what you see is what you believe" when it came to these discussions but I'm beginning to understand what my "elders" meant by it. Between the 2010s basketball fanboys and analytic stats, the eye is becoming meaningless. If you can't quote a stat that didn't exist 15 years ago your opinion no longer matters and the sport ceased to exist.

Bird was infinitely times better and more valuable to his team than Steph ever dreamed.

I still believe had he not blown his back shoveling rocks for his mom when he could have hired the labor, he would have been top 3 ever quite easily.

You will never convince the underage crowd how good he was or Magic or anyone from that era, not even Jordan.

But to those of us who have seen all those eras it isn't hard at all too discern.

Just as saying Kobe is a better player than Lebron. He may not be as gifted physically, although as athletic in his own right at his peak, but as an alpha on the court he was killer. I still can't believe he took Ron Artest, Pau Gasol, Jordan Farmar, Lamar Odom, Luke Walton, Andrew Bynum, etc... to a championship. WTF?

Also, Lebrons swan song will be similar to the rest, just quicker than we imagined. His best days are behind him and will never win another championship. Well, unless he gets 2 all-stars again.

Larry Bird is a career 37.6% 3-pt shooter.

Curry is a career 43.7% 3-pt shooter.

Bird made 649 3-pointers in his career.

Curry has made 772 3-pointers in the past 2 and a half seasons. This season isn’t even done yet.

In the 2015-16 season alone Curry made 402 3’s and shot 45.4% rom 3.

Curry has made 2,365 3’s in his career so far in 671 career games. In 897 career games, Bird made 649.

The most 3’s Bird ever made in a single playoffs was 23. Curry made 98 in the 2015 playoffs, which is 18 more 3’s than Bird made in his entire playoff career.

Bird is a career 32.1% from 3 in the playoffs. Curry is a career 40.8% from 3 in the playoffs and 378 made 3’s in the playoffs compared to Bird’s 80. Oh, and Curry has done that in 74 less playoff games than Bird so far. Curry will probably sometime a few years from now have more 3’s in just the playoffs than Bird has had in his entire career counting both the playoffs and regular season.

I love Bird, but Curry is the greatest shooter ever.

I said infinitely and it isn't even a debate.

Must be black and can't stand the thought some white boy is better than Steph.

Bird took a sorry arse Celtics squad in his rookie year and had the biggest turnaround in league history. Rebounded better; passed the ball better; and was every bit as good a shooter.

I realize it is a subjective measure, but I've seen them both and IT ISN'T CLOSE.

Get out of here old man. Steph is a better shooter. Just is. He literally showed the facts backing it up. I watched Larry legend too FWIW.
