Zach, how are people forcing you and the American public to try to like soccer?
ESPN and Fox show games because they get high ratings despite the lack of mainstream press coverage. They are responding to the free market's demand for more coverage of the sport. It's really that simple.

i played both growing up and soccer in HS, I do find it funny when baseball players or fans call soccer a pussy sport

There are lots of reasons baseball sucks, but the length of the game and the athleticism of the players are way down the list of its faults.
