Which coaches have won NBA championships without a HOF'er or 2 or 3? Larry Brown Pistons ( as of now) perhaps?
Lue has won a ring as an underdog over a 73 win team and never lost a playoff series he's been a clear favorite. But message board experts ....

This, but substitute Erik Spoelstra for Lue, and Miami for Cleveland, and basically you have what everyone use to say about Spoelstra.

The only difference is Pat Riley and The Heat are a longstanding winning organization who hand picked Spo, who had been with them for years. Lue doesnt have that pedigree.
Lue isn't an X and O guy,everyone knows that. He won't be truly judged until his next gig.
