Sorry if already discussed, I looked and didn't see anything.

1) does this affect schools like Rummel that are in Jefferson Parish? I assume she can't stop them from playing, they will just lose their Nola school games on the schedule.

2) Can a team like Jesuit get around this mandate? They practice at John Ryan stadium in Jefferson Parish and I bet they could move their home games to Yenni or some other field in Jefferson if not John Ryan itself. Can she stop that from happening? I doubt Jesuit would use a loophole like that because they are never on the side of their athletes but I was just curious.

Yes. The Orleans Parish Schools will just practice and play outside of Orleans.

However the attendance % will still be in effect in whatever parish they play in according to the Phase the state is in

I’d love to see Jesuit, Holy Cross, and St Aug tell LaToya to frick off and play all of their games at Joe Yenni.

You know this is the prevailing thought process of the Nola schools or you are making assumptions?

Because the Nola schools will lose tad Gormley and Pan Am which hosted the majority of those games. I feel like it will be hard to schedule all those games in Yenni. I am not sure what other stadiums are available in Jefferson Parish.

You think Newman isn’t going to play Arch Manning, Bo Bordelon and their 2 Blue Chip receivers play? They will find a place to play outside the parish.

Do I think their coaches and players want to play? Absolutely.

Do I think nerdy arse administration at the school that low key resents the football team cuz they were bullied in HS will allow them to use a loophole to play? I'm no where near as confident.

And what Newman does/can afford to do gives no indication of what a team like Warren Easton might be able to afford to do.

Teams will travel to stadiums that are available. Jefferson Parish isn’t the only parish with stadiums. They’re going to let the kids play.

It’s an 8 game season with normal playoffs.

I wouldn’t think Latoya would keep her stupid rule in place the entire season

The private schools (Catholic League, De La Salle, Newman) can manage it by playing Thursdays and Saturdays at Yenni and Memtsas. John Ryan and Shaw's on-campus stadium are also options.

The public schools are stuck.

I’d say Cooper and Ben and some other big time donors at that school might have something to say about that.

This is what I hope happens although I hope the public schools can figure it out too cuz you will hear Latoya cry foul in regards to white privilege otherwise.

Bunch of JPRD playgrounds they could probably share like Girard, Miley, Cleary, Johnny Bright, Lakeshore, etc

Or even pay some St Charles Parish schools like Destrehan, Hahnville, East St John to use their field.

Yeah I was thinking the playgrounds would be the way to go for a lot of the games.

How many players did ND or LCA pick up from Hurricane Laura to stop the Newman offense? Any scoop?

What's the status of the "shrine on Airline" or whatever they'e calling it these days?

It's been used for HS football in the past.

Latoya can stop them from having games and full-pads practices in the city, but she can't stop them from playing, period.

I know several of the Catholic schools are actively looking for places to play/practice.

For practices, they can use a number of playgrounds in Jefferson and St. Bernard.

For games, they could use Yenni, Memtas, Bertolino, Shaw's stadium, Zephyr Field, Jefferson Playground, the field at St. Martin's, Bobby Nuss stadium at Chamlette, they could even use the old stadium at St. Bernard Middle (used to be St. Bernard High).

Gonna be a lot of Thursday night and Saturday morning games.

The Catholic / private schools will figure it out. The publics are going to be more stuck, as they won't have the resources to do all that bussing and pay as much for stadium access.
