No, they won't. They'll still be the sole leader at 73. They'll probably have the most cachet of any runner-up in history.

They still have a great organization, great coach, three top 10 players and great role players.

They will be relevant for a really long time.

It's crazy that now the team(s) with the most regular season wins in each of the 4 major sports are ringless:
MLB- 2001 Mariners/1906 Cubs-116 wins
NBA- 2016 Warriors-73 wins
NHL- 1996 Red Wings-62 wins
NFL- 2007 Patriots-16-0
None of the above teams won their respective title

That Mariners team was random though. They never sniffed a world series, whereas the warriors were defending champs. This warriors team lost in the last minute of game 7 of the finals.

also, the warriors broke the record of the team that was led by arguably the greatest american athlete of all time. everyone knew 72-10 and it was a season long chase. Does anyone know who's record the Mariners broke ?

edit- this warriors team will be remembered like the 07 pats and the 05 trojans
