-Reduce regular season to 11 games
-Require 6 FBS wins to be bowl eligible
-Reduce the number of bowl games by at least 10
-Eliminate Bowl Tie-ins for the "Playoff Series" bowls
12-team playoff consisting of
-Power 5 conference champions (5)
-Top Group of 5 champion
-6 at large bids (Cannot be selected as an at-large with more than 2 losses)
-Top 4 seeds get byes
-Remaining 8 teams play the first round at the home of seeds 5-8
-New Years Six bowls populate the remaining 7 playoff games

12 is too many
6 team playoff. No guaranteed spots. Winning your conference isn’t good enough, but this way all the conference winners are likely to get in. 1st round byes for top 2 seeds

There may be some years where you don't have this, since these teams are outside the P5 conference champs.

At large bids are not limited to Power 5 schools in my scenario.

I like how it is
No way should a team with 3 losses (shite or even 2) be playing for a national title.

2005 Georgia, 2007 LSU, 2012 South Carolina and 2012 Texas A&M would like a word with you.

Not allow the committee to make up their own rankings. They should have to use the AP and Coaches Poll to determine top 25. Their job is not to come up with a top 25, but conclude what 4 teams are playing in the playoff.
Using their own rankings for justification makes it all the more subjective.

Eh, most fans are already complaining we have 2-3 pointless games as year as it is. Would this year have been any less awesome if we didn't have one of the Georgia Southern/Utah State/Northwestern State games?

please explain to me why y'all want to give every conference a chance?
Clemson
Bucks
Tigers
only three Worthy of a title belt. it's been a great season. really do not understand why ppl wanna change something that is working

You don't think that Memphis could possibly beat any of those teams on a particular day?
Using the 2019 season, Seeds 1-6 would be conference champions:
1-LSU
2-Ohio State
3-Clemson
4-Oklahoma
5-Oregon
6-Memphis
7-12 would be at-large schools, at-large schools who played in conference title games would be seeded higher than those who didn't.
7-Baylor (both losses to Oklahoma)
8-Utah (one loss to 8-4 USC)
9-Georgia (one loss to 4-8 South Carolina)
10-Penn State
11-Florida
12-Alabama

No byes, 8 team playoff, 5 conference champ qualifies and maybe G5 champ if they're in the top 10/12 + 2 or 3 at large teams.
You'll never have a full FCS style playoff, so having conference AQs at least ensures everyone has a path into the playoff and everything else is sorted out there. If Virginia would have won the ACC, for example, so be it.

I don't like it then. It would allow a two-loss MAC team like Bowling Green to get in over a three-loss SEC team like Auburn that had played a MUCH more difficult schedule.

Not in a situation like this.
But yes I'm still sticking to it.
2013 SC was not a national title contending team.
We would not have made the final 4 in 2012, we finished the season 4th in the polls, but going into the final rankings we were not that.
07 LSU is different because there were no undefeated teams.

0 Bowls.
8 Team Playoffs.
Championship at a neutral site.

I think Memphis could run with some teams for a half but eventually would be outclassed
they lost to Temple tho dude. so undeserving of a title belt

I think that this year will allow the current system to go unchanged for now.
