he'll continue to get away with bumping off smaller guys(offensive foul) for a few more years. then when he loses a step and some athleticism, the move to pf will continue the downfall

Fear you said the Heat wouldn't have been the number 1 seed without LeBron. It depends. If he had just disappeared out of the league and they didn't replace him, then you may have a point. Now if he disappeared and they replaced him with a good SF like Rudy Gay, George, or Chandler Parsons, then they still would have probably been the one seed, just not with 66 wins. Now if they lost him and he went to another team, it all depends on where he went and who they replaced him with.

this is how I took the comment I was responding too.

if he wasn't with Miami right now and everyone else was on that roster they would still have a shot at the finals, IMO.

Lebron was one of the best jump shooters in the league this year. To say he has a shitty mid range game is dumb

As for LeBron, he was barely the best this season.

Who was that close to him?

Let's not get carried away, he was the best player to take high percentage shots (in the paint....2ft away from the goal.)

No, he's talking about actual mid-range jumpers. You do know that those stats are tracked, right? I think that you might be out of your element here

Fear, the Heat would have had a shot at the Finals which is what you just quoted. I don't see any argument with that considering all of the shite that went down in the East this year.

Durant was this close to LeBron this year. He played better D and was a better, more versatile shooter, but LeBron was the better passer. LeBron averaged .1 rebound more per game so that's effectively a wash. Durant was also one of the select few non-guards, volume shooters to be in the 50-40-90 club (Dirk was the last to do this and he won the MVP that season).

As for LeBron's mid-range jumpshot, yeah he hit like 43% of those this year. Better than he has been in the past, but you have to consider he was averaging ~5 of those a game, had great floor spacers around him, and was getting open looks for around half of those shots.

For comparison's sake, Durant was taking right at 7 of those a game and was hitting nearly 46% of those shots and he didn't have 5 38% or better 3 point shooters on his team to spread the floor.

Back to that argument again? You really don't even try to hide your identity, eh? I see another help board thread in your near future bro

with their current roster minus LeBron no they would not have.

eta: I don't know what all that Durant rambling is about that has nothing to do with what we are talking about.

Durant is a scorer...far from Lebron status or star power, sorry but you are wrong

People need to be thankful for Lebron, he makes the NBA finals worth watching, he makes headlines, he makes it interesting

could you watch SA against Indiana? Boring!!!

Who cares how long he plays at this level, it won't matter if he keeps sucking it up when it counts

Wut?

BTW, he is averaging 31.5 in elimination games

How is that sucking over a 9 year career thus far?

He actually has the highest PPG in NBA history in game 7s. I'm not sure about elimination games in general, but he's got to be up there

Oh hush, I lived in Houston for 29 years and have been in NC for 17...

I loved the Rockets with a passion, but the BobCats? Please! I live 3 hours away from Charlotte

Have no interest in their pro teams what so ever!!

My brother in law is from Miami, so I/we pull for the Heat!

The Spurs were always a problem for the Rockets, so I have not love for them

So for me, I would not watch the NBA finals if there was no Lebron/Heat... I just have little interest in the finals if the superstars are not in them...or the Rockets..
