I'll watch LSU and that's really it. I used to pretty much build Saturdays around the whole slate of games and watch as much as possible. I'm done outside of LSU.

If that is the attitude going forward then I pretty much won't watch at all regardless of how good LSU is or isn't. I'd like to see any sport continue with absolutely nobody watching.

Clark is apart of that group that hates fans, hates anyone outside of players having most power and most money at all times.

but overall college football viewership will be down as the 2nd and 3rd tier games (i.e. Purdue vs. Rutgers for the 11am kickoff on Saturday) will no longer draw the eyeballs from people like me who used to watch.

What did the numbers show on this last year

My 93 year old dad quit watching the NFL when the guys were kneeling in 2016. Every year I'd try to get him to watch some of a game. Neither he, and my mom, would watch them until last season. I got him started watching Jayden Daniels' Redskin games. He watched games throughout the season last year, but he really did stay away from the NFL for about nine years. Since then he had a brain bleed, so he probably had forgotten about the kneeling anyway. He's gone now, so I'm glad he got to watch the NFL for the last season of his life.

If fans start abandoning the sport, the players will start making a lot less money.

Here in reality, only the fans matter.

If LSU loses another season opener then I am going to stop watching. I’m going to start getting angry drunk and just assume LSU is shitting the field.

There were some fun upsets last season that proved to be utterly meaningless with expanded playoffs.

I don't plan on watching the regular season much this year as it's no longer "must see TV".

I won't give it up, but I found myself watching less of it this year than ever before. I blamed it on all the commercials more than anything else.

I watch less non-Auburn football than I have in the past.

The constant movement of players, coaches and conferences is probably why i have lost some interest...

Just because some fans may stop watching because their teams aren’t as good doesn’t mean others will. As fans peel away from some schools. fans from other schools will get more interested.

The fans in this board are extremely spoiled. You guys are the 1%’ers. UGA, Bama, Auburn, Florida, Clemson, LSU, FSU, Tennessee, and even Texas have Natties you actually watched and remember. The vast majority of fans don’t have that.

So, while a 8-4 season to you is a disappointment, the vast majority of fanbases would celebrate it. So, if you guys want to leave the sport for whatever excuse you give- then fine, You are easily replaceable.

Acting as if “your fandom” is somehow more important because your team has won a lot of games is funny.
