And also, how many cans do you think he goes through per day?

I'd say three dips per can and probably three cans a day.

Don't know how his dips stay packed tightly in his mouth when he swings.

May just have thin lips.

I don’t put massive dips in, but mine are thin so every time I put one in it looks like a golf ball.

That's only Double and Triple A. Current players are grandfathered in

So what you're saying is the MLB players lost all their dip/chew in a boating accident?

not allowed for players that came up this season and moving forward

My understanding is that current players are grandfathered. That is how that got it added into the CBA

We couldn’t dip in high school ball. All we did was buy pouches and pop them in real fast. That being said it’s a terrible habit.

For chew it's George Brett and Dykstra.

For dip...maybe Gary Sheffield. He always had a fat lower lip.

George Brett and Dykstra are chew legends.
So is current umpire Alfonso Marquez

Don't forget Tony Gwynn. Always had one in. Probably why he's no longer with us.

And back in the day, smoke 'em if you got 'em

That is still one of the coolest sports pics of all-time.

That should go in a time-capsule buried to explain sports in the 70's.

And that's not a cigarette in the back:

Didn't Ron Washington smoke cigs in the rangers dugout until a couple years ago?
