How do you have two soon to be top 5 picks and end up 2 games below .500? They didn’t have a good roster outside of Harper and Bailey but I feel that’s on Pikiell to not surround them with more talent. I know Rutgers isn’t a traditional power but with the schools geographical location it seems like they could be a whole lot better/consistent with the right guy.

At least people were talking about Rutgers bball this year. Their problem was the 2 main guys they targeted in the portal played wings- same position as Ace & Harper…just awful roster construction.

I disagree. They had a bad year with great talent. Rutgers was a perennial 10 win team before he got there and he has taken them to a couple big dances... that is historic for Rutgers. Sometimes great talent doesn't always mesh right away. I bet if they both came back they would be a good team next year, he is a good respected coach.

Pikiel’s a good coach and has completely changed the culture at Rutgers.

That being said, this year was really really disappointing.
