In September of 96

Nomo no hit Colorado at Coors Field
Game start delayed by rain
Rain delay for 2 hours in the game
Had I think 8 K's and a RBI

Still only no hitter in Coors Field history

That is pretty impressive.... but in today’s game the manager would have pulled him after the in game delay.....

I think Cueto's little shimmy thing when he was on was GOAT

Tiant turn his back was up there also

Nomo's pause was a thing of beauty though

Coors Field in the 1990s was a blast to see games in person. I moved out of Denver before they started using the humidor to cut down on the long balls but I doubt it's as fun now as it was back then with the Blake Street Bombers.

Shellshocked pitchers be damned, the Rockies should have kept the live ball, gone with power hitters and used their home advantage, like the Cardinals did with a different strategy in the old Busch Stadium.

Watching Whitey's Birds run all over the place from 84-89 was a thing of beauty. Once they got going it was just crazy how Pitchers would freak out. The Jack Clark bomb vs Dodgers in NLCS was one of my memorable moments in 85...oh yeah f Jorge Orta, Bret Saberhagen, and the missed call.

The 87 NLCS game 7 is on MLB net for Pluto right now.

This Cards lineup because Clark was hurt

Coleman
Ozzie
Herr
Lindemann
Pendleton/Lawless came in due to injury in 2nd
Pena
McGee
Oquendo hit 2 run homer in 2nd I think

is just so weird to watch If the Birds are remotely healthy in 87 Series they win it

Some decent sluggers in that Rockies lineup...

Eric Young
Quinton McCracken
Ellis Burks
Dante Bichette
Andres Galarraga
Vinny Castilla

He earned his no-no that day.
