The round robin is a FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR superior way to decide a champion than the 12+ team 2 division system is. The reason Ohio State got picked is because of their history and $$$ and Byalor/TCU's lack of history and $$$

End of Story

They need to expand, but they won't.

In the Big XII's eyes, there is nothing out there that they REALLY want so ultimately they will not do much of anything. The Big XII is not a proactive league.

I don't think so.

With current teams, you could keep regular season the same with each team playing everyone else once.

Then have top 2 teams play in a title game. This year would ahve been the rematch of Baylor vs TCU.

You need a NCAA waiver to allow the BIG 12 to have a championship game but the NCAA have constantly said no to the Big 12.

Why??? the whole purpose of the round robin is every team actually plays each other

Well, the round robin:

1- Just produced co-champs
2- Prevent a 13th game where the sole champion adds a bigtime win to their resume
3- Put zero teams in the playoff

I bet they're already in talks. That clearly what screwed them. In my view, Baylor was the conference champion. With that as a controversy, they got screwed.

CCGs ensure no co-champions.

And then UH and SMU should bolt to the MWC, which should add BYU as well. Then you'd have the best non-P5 conference.

I don't think that's what hurt them.

Long mentioning the 13th game was a pretty powerful comment.

Every other conference has one TRUE champion.

Alabama beat the #2, #3, and #4 teams in their league
Oregon beat the only team that beat them
Florida State went unbeaten
Ohio State beat the #2, #3, and #4 teams in their league

Baylor and TCU play in the minor leagues.

BYU left the MW due to travel and money. BYU is sitting pretty. They have a concrete bowl, great conference for basketball baseball and olympic sports. They also have an ESPN contract.

Part of reason they left was MW going to CBS.

Co-champions have been a thing since the beginning of time. If the top teams have the same conference record you have co-champions end of story. The AAC has 3 co-champions.

What screwed them is TCU's and Baylor's lack of history
