How do you view Eric Spoelstra as a coach?

I just get the feeling he is slow on his adjustments. I mean you lose one guy and you can't score more than 75 points, how much of that is on him?

I don't give him credit when they win so I won't blame him when they lose

It seems pretty impossible to judge him given the situation he is in. He coaches three all-stars and they make it deep in the playoffs.

I don't view him as a coach. More of a babysitter. And I am a Heat fan.

ETA: I am a Lebron fan, and thus I am a Heat fan. No other affiliation. Flame away.

I judge him on late game play calling.

My 'view' is I think he looks like US Senator Rubio.
Or vice versa.

He talks a good game.

I "knew" they were toast when Bosh went down.
Notice that the team missed a zillion 3 point shots AND missed free throws down the stretch. That was on the players, not the coach.
They should have won by 15 if they could shoot 3 pointers.

If he actually drew up the play to go to Chalmer's at the end instead of having the ball in Lebron's hands, I seriously doubt his capabilities.

I don't have a problem with Lebron not taking the last shot, but he has to touch the ball and at least draw defenders to him.

1-22 I believe in the series from behind the arc. Atrocious.

But still, the moments when Spoelstra intervenes are very noticeable and seem to be a boneheaded decision more often than not.

IMO, the Heat can win most games playing without a coach for the vast majority of the game. It is the last minute or so in each half that coaching comes into play with this team, and it is then that they seem to be making the weirdest plays.

If he was on the floor missing FTs and missing layups late in the 4th quarter, I would blame him. The high pick and roll kept them in the game early. They had a shot at the end and DWade and Bron Bron couldn't deliver.

Was it vs. the Knicks where they basically ran a pick and roll clear out for Wade and just stuck Lebron in the corner? It makes no sense
