I get it, the Browns had a shite ton of injuries this year and made the playoffs, but Ryans took the worst team in the NFL last year and won his division AND beat the Browns in the playoffs…

And if not Ryans, why not Campbell?

Because what Dan Campbell has done at Detroit is far and away more impressive even though he didn’t win.

Someone please explain to me how y’all think what Ryans did is more impressive?

Best D in the league, made miracles with Flacco and injuries, did so in the best division in the league

It’s not for best team, it’s who did the best job (in theory)

The Texans had no business with 3 wins on the personnel front. Combine that with hitting on Stroud, it’s easy to see if voters punish him for it

Campbell would win if the award were spread over 2 years. Timing just sucks. Plus you know enough voters still think he’s a shallow meathead

The right guy won. Campbell's starting quarterback played every snap this year and Ryan's starting quarterback played all but a couple of games. The Browns went through starting quarterbacks the way bad teams go through kickers and still made the playoffs (getting a higher seed than the Texans despite playing in a tougher division too). Now add in not having Nick Chubb for practically the entire season.

Ryans and Stefanski actually tied at 165

Stefanski won the first place votes tiebreaker 21-20

Campbell 3rd at 33
