How did Baylor lose 5 games?

Granted, I only saw them play Kansas State and over a quarter of the Holiday Bowl, but they look like the best team in the Big 12. Did they just implode during their losses?

Baylor still has no defense. The fact that UCLA isn't running the ball down their throats with Franklin is an indictment on Mora.

TCU beat them by 28 because they harrassed Nick Florence all game and made him throw 5 interceptions. Also TCU made the running game non existant and forced them to throw.

They never got a defense, they just recycled the successful game plans other teams
Baylor did the exact same thing to Kansas State that TCU did the week before, only difference was that Baylor had an offense to make Kansas State pay for it unlike TCU had

As long as Art Briles is coach Baylor will never be more than a gimmick team that wins 9 or 10 games in a year every now and then
He puts all the talent on offense. Anyone with any skill is on offense, so defense is all the castoffs.
Without any defensive pressure Baylor will always lose some shootouts each year.

Baylor got better and better as the year progressed and many of their losses were nailbiters.
very happy Arkansas didn't hire Briles. that would have been dangerous if they ponied up the cash for Briles to get hard-nosed DC.

I personally favor the 11-1 2005 squad that beat Georgia in the Georgia Dome in the Sugar Bowl, over the 2012 version that only scored 14 at home vs K-State
