While I think its dumb to say he is the goat before he has even gone through his peak years, I also think its dumb to completely dismiss how good he is. A lot of people really undervalue his game as a whole. It's hard to measure the impact he has on defense and what he brings on offense as a whole.
I do think he very well may be the greatest all-around player when its all said and done. With that said, players like MJ are much better at certain things (scoring/shooting as an example) that may outweigh the other categories that Lebron is better at. The fact of the matter is that when its crunch time, you need a scorer and I don't think Lebron will ever get on the same level as the great scorers.

While Dwade is off celebrating with the crowd, LBJ goes directly to the Thunder players and bear hugs everyone of them. Then hugs his mama, and then asks where his fiance is. Then gets on national television and talks about how immature he was last year and how he got back to loving the game and doing what needed to be done. Doesn't get much better than that.
It was a classy move, indeed. I believe KD and someone else began walking toward the Heat bench with about 15 seconds left to play, but LBJ hugged about 6 or 7 players from what I saw of the post-game.
I still dislike the pomp and circumstance during The Decision and the new Heat players introduction in 2010, but last night did help to begin the mending process in the public's eye.

bullshite! LeBron is a much better passer, rebounder and the most versatile defender in the history of the NBA.
Jordan has a higher career scoring average (30.1) than LeBron but that's about it. And whether Jordan is actually a more prolific scorer than LeBron is debatable. Jordan took more shots per game (22.9) than LeBron (20.4) and far fewer 3 point attempts per game (1.7) than LeBron (4.0) yet his shooting percentage (.497) is only slighlty better than LeBron (.483). That being said, LeBron scores 1.355 points per FG attempt compared to 1.316 for Jordan - that's a difference of almost 30%!! I won't even get into how much harder it has been for LeBron with the lack of a supporting cast and the constant double teams he endured in his first 7 seasons and coming into league without the 3 years of playing in the ACC that Jordan brought with him.

But so many guys on here will tell you how selfish he is.

What doesn't make any sense to me is that the dumbasses who hate him because they think he is egotistical and a douche, LOVE Michael Jordan. That blows my mind.

please never post again if you think James is now or ever will be better than Jordan

I think the biggest difference in them is mentally,Jordan didn't give a frick if evrybody hated him.He just beat your arse and said frick anybody that don't like it

I don't like him.
It's ok for me to dislike the self-entitled chosen one, but you jock lickers(like Roaad) can't handle it.
"because at the end of the day, all the people that were wanting me to like James, at the end of the day, they have to wake up tomorrow and have the same life that they had before they woke up today. They have the same personal problems they had today. I'm going to continue to live the way I want to live and continue to do the things that I want to do with me and my family and be happy with that.
They can get a few days or a few months or whatever the case may be on being happy about not only my opinion, but the Miami Heat accomplishing their goal. But they have to get back to the real world at some point."

Quick question: Do you like Kevin Durant?

Yup. Thats why #2 all time is lebrons peak. Having an opportunity to be considered the 2nd greatest player ever while you're still in your prime is pretty impressive
But your right the menatality is the main thing that seperates them. Lebron will never be on jordan's level in that category. No one will, but thats just not the person lebron is despite what everyone wants him to be. However, to argue there is a huge talent gap between the two is quite foolish imo.

Doesn't matter, not the point of the thread is it?

You can dislike whoever you want, thats your right. However the lebron detractors hate the people who say lebron is the goat. This is understandable because these people are stupid.
However as a lebron supporter i can deal with you not liking his personality or whatever but to not respect the elite level he plays at makes you just as dumb as the "lebron is the goat" crowd.

Don't work yourself into a tizzy.

Yeah,I'm not a Lebron fan,but admit his talent. What I hate with a passion is the irrational Lebron is the GOAT at everything with a basketball crowd.I honestly think this is the primary reason for all the Lebron hate.

I don't know, but find where I argue about "elite level" bs.
