Kansas has a good chance to be 4-0 in a couple of hours.

He was well into retirement mode when he took the job at KU.

Kansas showed some promise in 2019

The Covid year fricked Les (pun not intended to connect back to Les and his female staffer problems)

To be fair he was just part of an assembly line of awful coaches

He wasn’t even really the worst of them

The rant won’t hear it but Orgeron was better for LSU than Miles. Won a huge NC and then failed fast. Miles kept lsu in the gray zone for years

How many players on the roster were recruited by Les Miles? Similar how Coach O shite the bed at Ole Miss record wise, but Houston Nutt immediately won with his players.

It’s true. There were early signs of life under Les. He was never going to assemble a good team but I thought he had them on course for solid mediocrity (a vast improvement at the time) until the 2020 disruptions. He couldn’t get through that.

Les was doing great until being thoroughly dominated by Saban. Had Saban not gone to Bama, Les no doubt wins at least one more NC. For some reason he couldn’t assemble a passing game post-2013, but he still ran a competitive program for a long time. He certainly did better than 90% of other SEC coaches. You simply don’t maintain even 9-win seasons if you’re that bad. His 2005 coaching job is incredibly under appreciated considering he’s a new coach following Saban then dealt with the Katrina disruptions. 11-2 was an achievement.

Aside from 2011, 2006 was the team that should have won the NC. It’s a little glossed over bc of 2007, and in any case Auburn officiating killed us that year. The loss to Florida was as flukey as they come. But that offense should have been unleashed earlier in the season, but that was typical Jimbo.

He must be coaching today. KU went very conservative on their last drive. 3 straight runs and gives Duke the ball back.
