I agree Tyson was a bum, overrated D and rebounding, and deadweight on offense.

Well...I wouldn't go that far. He's a talented player. He's got great athleticism and he IS a good defender and rebounder. He just really isn't worth 12 mill per.

hate to break it to you, but nobody outside of Hornets fans consider CP in the discussion. ANY time you hear MVP talk, the only 2 names you hear are Lebron and Kobe.

I could give two shits about what Stephen A or any of the other takling heads on ESPN say.

The award is called Most Valuable Palyer right? So should it not be the player who means the most to his team?

it's pretty simple...all 3 teams miss the playoffs without their stars. with their stars, cleveland and the lakers are championship contenders and will win 60+, the hornets are not serious contenders. how much worse the teams are without their stars is irrelevant, none are playoff teams.

Paul makes his teammates better. Kobe not so much. Labron not so much

He's extremely talented, but can be easily replaced.

so CP is an MVP contender to you because you say so?

Like it or not, some of the talking heads have actual MVP votes. The only place your opinion is heard is this message board.

With West, Hilton, Wilcox, Smith, Marks, Ely, Bowen, and even Posey, we have some decent depth at the 4 and 5, with a lot of different guys who do a lot of different things.

None of them can match up size wise in the half-court with the Dwight Howards and Yao Mings of the league, but if we play our game instead of them dictating to us, we should be ok.
