You are an idiot. Tyson amounts to more points than Hilton and he is much much better on the defensive end. He alters more shots and grabs more rebounds than Hilton you moron.

With Chandler, we may not have had many more points, but we would have rebounded better.

honestly i give some credit to there D but we missed open layups which on the stat sheet makes the celtics look good on D. Hornets had an off night and only lost by 12

More or less what I expected. Need another big to help inside and on the boards.

Why does the title of this tread say that the Hornets beat the Celtics? I got excited for a minute and though the Hornets actually won.

Tyson Chandler probably makes a net difference of 1-2 points in a game. Too bad the Hornets lost by double digits

Compared to Hilton Armstrong, Chandler is at least 10 points

Chris Paul is probably worth 10 points, not Tyson Chandler.

I think it's time for people to just ignore GHAZI when he talks about the Hornets. He's either trying to antogonize Hornets fans or he has lost it to think that Chandler hardly ever makes a difference. He at least keeps Ely on the bench and limits the minutes of Marks and Armstrong. And as for the people saying that Hornets shot bad, I really give all the credit to the Celtics defense. Hornets were never in a rhythm tonight. The Hornets would have had to shoot out of their minds to come close to winning that game.

Just telling it like it is, Chandler is a scrub.

Earlier you stated that one of the reasons the Mavs will be the best team come June is that Dampier/Diop are rebounding/defensive forces. Do you honestly believe either of those two guys are better than Chandler?

Dampier is, Diop isn't. Dampier is in the top 2 in the league in rebounds per minute... and is a bigger defensive presence than Chandler.

Like Chandler though, he has no offensive game... but Dirk/Kidd find a way to squeeze a few points out of him here and there just like Paul does.

Dampier has the higher PER too, FWIW.

Alright, good stats. I still wouldn't consider Chandler a scrub, and I think if it wasn't so much fun for you to get Hornets fans riled up, you would admit it does make a difference when Chandler plays.

Chiming in a little late here...

Best start of the season ever and the current 14-game win streak ties (1985-86) for the 4th-longest winning streak in Celtics history. The record is 18 (1981-82).

C's looked flat in the 1st half but got it going in the 2nd half. Controlling the boards and their D has been winning it for them. CP is one wicked dog out there but the Hornets don't have enough of a supporting cast/bench and guys who can scorer when needed. Perimiter shooting was ugly.

Good to see Posey get his ring before the game. Last year, the Celtics started 21-3 with Posey, this year 22-2 without him. I wish things could have worked out with his contract and still on the team. I'm wondering if he wishes he could be back as well.

Nice words from Byron Scott:
“They aren’t playing like a team that has won a championship. Most teams, when they get a championship, they get a little fat. They kind of live on those laurels for a whole year. They just take it as it comes.

“I know we did that when we had our back-to-back championships. We came out even more determined [the second season]. That’s definitely the kind of look that they have when I see them play.”
