The only problem I would see with any type of playoff system would be that how many fans would have the time or money to travel to all 3 rounds to see their team play? I realize it would not be a problem for OT millionaires but for the average fan it would suck.

At least Bama would have to earn their spot this way.
I'm anti-playoffs. In DivII no one cares about the playoffs until the final game. In Div1 the whole season is a playoff.
