Look I just pointed out he's playing better statistically than any QB in the nation

I'm sorry someone has to challenge you on that but, he's the more valuable player

His last 4 games were shootouts vs shitty defenses.

Tua's first half of the season was against shitty defenses. According to S&P+

Louisville - 110
Arkansas state - 64th
Tennessee- 97th
ULL- 111th
Ole Miss - 109th
Arkansas -78th

Why do you give him a pass?

Tua also sat the entire half in at least 3-4 games..not just the 4th quarter

I mean besides the non conference slate of warmup cupcakes vs divisional games and all?

Kylers entire season was vs shitty defenses outside of a couple. The best scoring defense they faced was army.

Ole Miss, Tennessee, and Arkansas I'm sure were tough

Along with the non conference schedule of Arkansas state, ULL, tCitadel, and Louisville

Stop acting like the defenses he played this year were worth a shite

Tua has missed WAY more than just the 4th quarter, btw.

Do you really want to play that game?

Edit: I see you do. Give me a moment.

Texas A&M just gave up 72 points to LSU

Tua has played harder defenses compared to Kyler but if this is your trump card it's pathetic

Ok so Tua has faced #4, 16, 18, 38, 40 and UGA will be 14. While Murray has faced #22, 30, and 50.

Tua has to have a good game against UGA (and Bama would have to win) but if he does I highly doubt Murray will win.

Both players are deserving

Murray and Oklahoma would torch SEC defenses the same way Tua has

Tua probably wins becaue his team has been #1 all year

Well, he also played with a sprained knee for almost half of the season, and I think he still split time with Hurts in the first 2 games of the season.

Just some more info

Total defense rankings of teams Alabama and Oklahoma have played:
Alabama: 3, 31, 37, 45, 50, 51, 54, 78, 104, 121, 122 (did not include the Citadel, but their 427 ypg would put them at #91 in FBS). Will play #12 UGA this weekend.

Oklahoma: 11 (largely because teams don't have the ball that much), 27, 39, 63, 73, 75, 79, 81, 88, 98, 105, 110. Will play #63 Texas this weekend.

I would have to agree he wins today. I just don't agree with the reasoning. The more deserving player is Kyler

If I had to bet on who won, it would be Tua though

And Murray hasn’t faced anything remotely close to that caliber of defense.

Btw I don’t really have a problem with Murray winning.

Holy crap. Haskins has 185 more attempts than Tua and 148 than Murray. Seems crazy.

He better have more yards

I’m sure you championed for Colt Brennan, BJ Symons, Kliff Kingsbury, and Graham Harrell. Stats are clearly important regardless of the teams you rack them up against

Tua threw 1 pass in the 2nd half against UL. Not sure about Arkansas State.

So basically identical stats.

Only Tua has far fewer INT's and has played much better defenses?
