Has anyone had an NFL QB helmet on and had communication?

Is it easily hearable? How does crowd noise affect it? Anyone know first hand?

Even if he can hear it clearly, he still has to relay it to the team which is probably pretty tough.

Great point. Didn't even think about that.

Wouldn't it make sense for all the players to have wristbands and have some sort of signal to which play is called? If sound was a factor?

They did a piece on sports center I think one time. It sounds like a really shitty Walkie talkie

Strief was on the radio today and explained it pretty well. He said it’s not the call in the huddle that’s the issue. It’s the checks and the doubt. He said WRs and OTs are the ones that mess up the most because the info that’s relayed out to them isn’t always clear so they have doubt at the snap and that’s where the mistakes come. Them being a second too late or taking a step the wrong way and it’s a blown up play. He said false starts aren’t that big of an issues because they just go by first movement at that point anyway. It’s was pretty interesting to hear his take.

It’s audible but it also echoes. They are just like CoachComm duplex headsets audio. Biggest issue is if the mic on the coaches headset gets water in it. That’s worst thing for headset communications.

If I was a defensive player I would be like this after a tackle:

Or I would have somebody on the sidelines or the stands with a very high resolution camera to catch a snapshot of the wristband like this:

I'd have code-breakers on the sideline like I was trying to break the enigma code.

Alabama doesn't use it because of the language barrier with Saban and Tua
