he wears a clear one now, but he definitely use to wear a tinted visor. I specifically remember people bitching that he did and no other QB did at the time.

I believe the NFL made it against the rules for a QB to wear a tinted visor...

I thought it was a blanket rule for every position, but you can wear them if you have a doctors note basically.

I remember when Brian Calhoun wore one in college.

I think it's because they want to be able to see the eyes in case of injury.

I don't think I'd want to wear one as a QB because looking off the DBs is a pretty valuable tool

That's a good point. I only brought up Brian Calhoun because I remember when colleges stopped allowing it. Calhoun was a RB, though.
