They will not only pay his $22 million buyout but also damages in a civil rights lawsuit. They better tread lightly if they know what’s good for them
They aren’t going to fire him but if they did what damages do you think he would be entitled to beyond his contract?
I mean sure give him his $22 million bc this wouldn’t be for cause but what else is there to ask for?

Everyone bitching that Gundy didn’t apologize. It’s his program. Nobody is being forced to play there.
Chuba apologizing about the way he handled it was very mature. Good to see that. He may actually be a leader that puts the team first.

You think his contract has a clause that they can fire him because he wore a tshirt of a news organization?

In Civil rights lawsuits you can recover general damages for things like pain and suffering, emotional stress, etc. He could also seek damages for loss of future earnings due to the assassination of his character based on a t-shirt making him less desirable. There’s a lot of things he can do, and OSU doesn’t want to deal with that kind of smoke over this.

In a breach of contract claim you think he’d actually allege emotional stress along with pain& suffering bc he was fired

I’m sorry. Are people here actually trying to argue that OANN isn’t far right news?
You’re allowed to agree with the news that they report while also realizing that it leans very far right.
I think it’s ignorant to say that there is an outlandish crazy hard bias compared to cnn or msnbc without ever watching it just because reddit says so. God forbid there be a network on the opposite side of cnn or msnbc.

I would argue 80% of America didn’t know what that shirt even stood for

If I ran OAN I would make the pic of Gundy in their t shirt the new profile picture on Twitter/Facebook

To be fair, you can say the same thing about the people losing their minds over players kneeling during the anthem.
No

Yeah I like how the usual suspects on here who have never ever heard of the network before today act like they are authorities on their day to day content.

They play a sport for entertainment. I’m sorry but like most I don’t like my sports with a side of politics. Maybe they should find another profession if they can’t grasp that fact.

They just need to be as educated as westcoastag since he acts like he is an authority on their content.

What does he have to apologize for
Chubba is the one who should apologize for hating white people

Has anyone who has melted one way or another over this considered that people who go on fishing trips don’t tend to wear their preferred clothing? Chances are this is just a random “frick it” shirt he’d use for an occasion like that.

Weird that the same people that are faux outraged that gundy wore a tshirt they didn’t like can’t tell us why he should apologize.

Disagree but if he did it would be laughed out of court

I don’t believe those people

Agreed it could be a throw away tee but he has been quoted in the past as watching the network. But that shouldn’t be something to apologize for nor should people be so sensitive over a goddamn shirt.

You would laugh at his case more than laughing at a bunch of idiots who wanted a man fired over a fricking shirt?
His case has more merit than that.
