Guess who is No. 1 in College Basketball RPI

Really havn't paid much attention to NCAA b-ball this year, no particular reason, but took a gander this morning at the various rankings/projections.
I'm old enough to remember when RPI was the preferred ranking, can't imagine the formula has changed. Obviously it's a strange year with cancellations, etc. and but take a look:
1 Navy
13-2
2 Gonzaga
22-0
3 Michigan
16-1
4 W. Virginia
16-6
5 Clemson
13-5
6 Alabama
18-5
7 Houston
18-3
8 Baylor
18-0
9 Colgate
1-Nov
10 Florida St.
13-3
11 BYU
17-5
12 Colorado St.
14-4
13 Ohio St.
18-5
14 Villanova
15-3
15 St. Bona.
44503
16 Texas
14-6
17 Boise St.
18-4
18 Virginia
15-5
19 USC
19-4
20 Wichita St.
13-4
21 Kansas
17-8
22 Missouri
14-7
23 UCSB
16-3
24 San Diego St
17-4
25 VCU
17-5
FWIW, Navy is 151 in Kenpom and 85 in NET
For comparison here is the current AP top 25, which is of course flawed but counts eye test and humans:
1 Gonzaga (60)
2 Baylor (4)
3 Michigan
4 Ohio State
5 Illinois
6 Alabama
7 Oklahoma
8 Villanova
9 Iowa
10 West Virginia
11 Florida State
12 Houston
13 Creighton
14 Texas
15 Virginia
16 Virginia Tech
17 Kansas
18 Texas Tech
19 Southern California
20 Arkansas
21 Loyola Chicago
22 San Diego State
23 Wisconsin
24 Missouri
25 Tennessee
So, you got 10/25 teams and 5/top 12 in RPI and not AP poll in the closing stretch of the season. Illinois is ranked 5th and projected 2 seed and RPI is 35.
The disparity is just astounding. Carry on

They’ve got a tough one coming up this weekend against Beverly Hills 90210.

Clemson was on a roll before their 11 day Covid pause. 9-1, ranked 12th. Had wins over Bama and FSU. They lost 3 straight by 20-30 points after returning. The wheels appear to be back on but no way should they be in the Top 10. Should be ranked in Top 25 though.

Looks like Excel thought a W/L record was a date.
