Clemson is rolling now, they will beat GT in ACCCG

I agree. That will help the Florida-LSU national championship game case!

I doubt it. If they jump Georgia Tech over TCU then all hell will break loose.
Why? Nothing happened last year when Utah got left out as the only undefeated.
Just for fun, here's the OOC schedule for the top 7
Florida: Charleston Southern, Troy, Florida International, FSU - 4 home games, 0 away, 1 BCS, 1 FCS
Alabama: VaTech (N), Florida International, North Texas, Chatanooga - 3 home games, 1 neutral site, 1 BCS, 1 FCS
Texas: ULM, @Wyoming, UTEP, UCF - 3 home games, 1 away, 0 BCS, 0 FCS
TCU: @Virginia, Texas State, @Clemson, SMU - 2 home, 2 away, 2 BCS, 1 FCS
Cincy: SE Missouri State, @Oregon St, Fresno State, @Miami (OH), Illinois - 3 home, 2 away, 2 BCS, 1 FCS
Boise State: Oregon, Miami (OH), @Bowling Green, UC Davis, @Tulsa - 3 home, 2 away, 1 BCS, 1 FCS
Georgia Tech: Jacksonville State, @Miss State, @Vanderbilt, Georgia - 2 home, 2 away, 3 BCS, 1 FCS
So GT played the most BCS teams OOC, and also played half of their OOC games on the road. TCU is the only other team in the top 7 that played equal home and away (though Cincy and Boise also played 2 away games but got 3 home games because of smaller conference schedules).
Also of note is that GT played 6 home and 6 road games this season.

Because TCU is #4 right now. I don't think Utah was ever that high were they?

Didn't get above 7th until after the bowl games.
They were 5th in the computers going into the bowls and 6th in the BCS

I just don't think they will jump GT over TCU in that situation.

The main factor that has not been pointed out nearly enough in this thread is that Georgia Tech fricking sucks and runs a white high school offense.
I would love to see a real team get them in a bowl game and shut them down ala LSU in the Peach.

Texas will free fall in the computers. Who have they played? Just OSU. The rest of their schedule is bad.

Texas has what, Baylor and Texas A&M left on their schedule? They lose either of those and they probably fall behind GT.
If they lose in the Big12 CG they DEFINITELY fall behind GT and people would bitch because they didn't win their conference

This is not a thread about if we have a shot or not, just if we'd make it.
I agree GT would get crushed b/c we have no D.
CPJ's O is better than most give it credit for.
Remember when they were crushed by LSU it was Paul Johnson's first year using a team of recruits for a pocket passing west-coast type system.
Plus Dwyer still averaged 6.7 ypc
LSU outgained GT by 10 yards.
Special teams gave away 4 possessions in that game and GT executed poorly. Any team would lose a game doing that, especially to a team as talented as LSU.
GT would have had to play a flawless game to have a shot, but played like arse and got crushed.

GT needs to worry about Duke this weekend.

They do, but I as a fan sitting on the sofa don't.
But your'e right, this game will be tough. Duke passes very well, and as stated GT's D sucks. I think it'll be a shootout. With second half adjustments being key to a closer than expected GT win.

Does duke still control their own destiny or no?

Not completly, they could clinch a share of the ACC coastal crown.
Duke, GT, and VPISU would have a 3 way tie with 2 ACC losses. From what I've been looking at it would come to : overall record of non-divisional teams and GT would win this one ... so I think GT still has this locked up ... but I could be wrong, it's too late to think about it this much
