Kizer informed Penn's corner after the fight about the alleged greasing between rounds.

During the fight they were pre-occupied with keeping him cool, hydrated and alive to complain about anything.

Still looking but I love the effort the NSAC guy puts into wipping down GSP.

from MMA junkie

quote:

Kizer and his team actually began dealing with the apparent application of Vaseline to St. Pierre's back and shoulders during the match.

"The first round, one of the inspectors that was on the outside of the cage came over to me and said it looked to him that when the cornerman, who I think in that case was Phil Nurse, put the Vaseline on Georges' face then rubbed his shoulders -- which you see the guys rubbing the other guy's shoulders to help him out -- he didn't wipe off his hands between doing that," Kizer said. "I said, 'Well, I'm going to watch very closely after this round.'

Kizer said he then witnessed one cornermen put Vaseline on Georges' face, which is allowed, but that he then illegally put his hands on the fighter's back "to do the breathing thing they always do," Kizer said.

At most, it was very small amount of the lubricant, but Kizer immediately sprung to action.

"Tony Liano and I immediately yelled at him, and I don't think he heard us because of the noise," Kizer said. "So I actually went into the octagon, and I said, 'Take your hand off of his back. What are you doing?' We wiped it down. We made sure it was wiped down after the third round as well. This was after the second when I was in there. I was very upset. I don't know if they were doing it intentionally or not. Either way, they shouldn't have done it."

So NSAC guys are toweling him off and Penn's corner didn't know about it until after the fight?

File a formal complaint, or stop crying foul.

I've changed my position on this. If GSP knew he was doing it, regardless of whether or not it changed the outcome, he should be stripped of his belt.

I was a fan after the Sokadjou(sp?) fight and he hasn't let me down yet.

I hope he breaks Rashad Evan, I can't stand that guy.

Man frick it, I'll go ahead and say I think GSP should be stripped for that shite. If B.J. wants to fight him again......let him. If not, have a bout between the next two highest ranked guys at 170 for the belt and then GSP gets a crack at that guy. Dude cheated. Plain and simple. He would have won anyway, but that isn't the point. Its like saying Mcguire still would have had a shitload of Homeruns with out the roids...... yeah he probably would have, but who knows.

And who's to say that GSP wasn't greased up before he walked to the octagon.

I basically guarantee you that GSP was greased up before the fight started. I think way less of the guy now. HGH is one thing, but this just makes me think the guy will do anything.
