Nope. Perhaps in that we've seen LeBron's best, but that's it. Just an opinion. We'll have to wait and see.

So Jordan wouldn't have won with the best supporting cast in NBA history?

George Mikan and its not even debatable. They widen the lane and put in goal tending because of him. He revolutionized the game and was the first household name of the NBA

Nope. Magic put Worthy on the Top 50 list. He's a career 17 ppg player. And Magic motivated Kareem. He was a shadow of his former self really. Remember how Magic used to wait for him to get down court which was more than halfway through the shot clock?

As time goes by it's hard not to give Phil Jackson more credit for the Bulls championships than we did at the time.

I think we've found someone new to add to the ignore at all costs list.

Did you watch the games? Remember how difficult Kareem was to motivate? What would Jordan do for Worthy? For Scott? His game doesn't fit them because the shots that they got on fast breaks would have been Jordan's shots.

The year before Magic joined the Lakers Kareem averaged 24 PPG, 13 RPG and 4 BPG. Who motivated him then?

You're talking ridiculous hypotheticals. We'll never know what Jordan could and couldn't do with Magic's Lakers. 99% of this board and probably the world thinks you're crazy but whatever, that's your opinion. The question was about the greatest Laker of all time and Magic is the correct answer. I think we should leave it at that.

If all Californians are like Lakers fans, no wonder the state is in an economic meltdown.

The title of this topic is "Greatest Laker of all-time". Is this not a topic for "hypotheticals"? I like Magic and think that he was the greatest player of all time. So what?

Lakers fans in the southern part of the state and militant hippies in the north. Cali had no chance

This thread is about certain hypotheticals which include the Greatest Laker of all time. Jordan was not a Laker so he should not be apart of this conversation. Magic and Jordan are neck and neck as the GOAT IMO.

Magic is the Greatest Laker of all time. As far as the Greatest Player in NBA history, that's another thread to voice your OPINION, not here.

Is Magic better than Chamberlain?

I do not think you can say that, that is why I may revise my pick to Wilt instead of Mikan.

I'm not sure. I think it's close. Magic done more with the Lakers than Wilt did so I would say that Magic is the Greatest Laker of all-time.

Although Wilt still put up some ridiculous stats in LA, he was only there a few years at the end of his career.

West was the best player during their championship years. Look at his stats - four seasons of scoring more than 30 PPG. His career average is 27 PPG. Imagine if there was a 3pt line? He led the league in assists in 1971-72 - he averaged 6.7 for his career. He averaged just under 6 RPG for his career. He was also a very good defensive player (four times he was All-Defensive First Team).

LINK

Baylor deserves consideration too. Dude averaged 38 and 18 one year. He just couldn't get a ring.

I have hard time putting Magic ahead of the big men because in the NBA you dont win without a good big man.

Although Magic was the face of the franchise in the 80's I dont think his leaving lead to the decline as much as replacing Riley with Randy Pfund and Del Harris.

My choices are Mikan and Wilt. I think Baylor and West are the best combo of the Lakers though, even better than Big Game James and Magic or Shaq and Kobe.

Point taken. But it was different as the years went by.
