'05 USC would've been close if they had closed it out in the Rose Bowl.

...and if Turner Gill completes the 2 pt conversion pass, '83 Nebraska is there as well. Probably in the top 5

1995 Nebraska and 2001 Miami would have been a helluva matchup.

'92 Bama deserves to be higher.

The greatest college football team I've ever seen was the '95 Nebraska Cornhuskers. Dominant lines on both sides of the ball. Practices must've been something to see with those two lines going up against one another......

No, no, no. That was the 03 Sooners pre Big 12 Championship. Remember?

Yeah..remember? ESPN and the rest of the national media had them pegged as the best team of ALL TIME... until they lost the conference championship game and then had LSU hand them their arse in the BCS NCG!

Oh BTW.. I caught the 03 NCS on ESPN Classic the other night.. good to watch if for no other reason that I sometimes forget what a complete freaking a-hole Bob Stoops is.

a bogus list. they have 2004 USC at #7 best of all time. I don't think they were even the best that year. Auburn would have beat them.

Do you think a 1945 Army team or a 1938 TCU team could play with the teams of today?

Reverse it. Could todays kids take the punishment dished out with leather helmets and crappy padding that was given back in the day?

I have always felt the same way about their # 1 and 2. The 2001 Miami team was beyond ridiculous.

I cannot blame people for thinking Oklahoma was one of the best of all time based on their first 12 games of the season. They were literally ANNIHILATING people. 77-0 v TAMU, sixtyfive-13 against Texas? it was absurd

and then the KSU and LSU games happened. I guess you should wait until the season before you peg a team as an all time great.
