ESPN will premiere The Grantland Basketball Hour on Thursday, October 23, at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN. The first Grantland-branded television series will feature editor-in-chief Bill Simmons and ESPN NBA analyst Jalen Rose, along with special guests Michelle Beadle, Jeff Van Gundy, Zach Lowe and Clippers head coach Doc Rivers. During each show, Simmons, Rose and their guests will engage in dynamic conversations and offer fresh perspective on various NBA topics and trends in front of a studio audience
Should be interesting. I'm excited to see Zach Lowe get some TV time.

I really think the Clippers are going to win the West.

Wouldn't surprise me. Spurs are still the favorites imo. As usual I think a lot of just comes down to match ups in the West.
I worry about OKC if KD's injury forces them out of the top 4 this year.

I disagree. They were so motivated last year because of what happened against Miami the year before.
They'll be very good. They might even finish with the best record. But I don't think they make the conference finals this year.
The Clippers might be the favorite to me.

It's so ironic - Is ironic the right word? - to hear Jeff Van Gundy talk about how we should be "more sophisticated" when evaluating players. He says (paraphrasing) that just because a player doesn't win a championship doesn't mean that player isn't a champion. Not surprising, coming from a man who never won one. Year after year, Van Gundy finds a way to excuse or justify his own and other players' losing.

Is this show gonna be on every Thursday?

When considering Premier league clubs Tottenham crossed my mind, but the Grizzlies side of me just would not allow me to cheer for a team called the Spurs.

Van Gundy is right though. The championships argument is stupid. LeBron is a Top 2 player of all-time. He has one championship if Ray Allen doesn't hit that three.
