I lived in Waco. There's an airport. It's like the one in Baton Rouge.

The level of ignorance is amazing, but not surprising. This just in colleges all over the country are located in lesser populated areas. And just because a place sounds lame to hippsters doesn't mean it can't have easy access to an airport.

I have a feeling this will all end up revolving around notre dame and what they want to do.

FSU/CLEM will probably end up doing nothing and just waiting on ND.

Also, CLEM AD today: LINK

Other than the A&M and Texas games, Texas Tech's crowd is anemic at best.

cause you are there for their games vs OU, OSU, Nebraska back in the day etc.

Spare us the petty rivalry nonsense and spliting hairs over words like "wild".

As far as Texas goes, you only have to reference the 2010 season

WTF is that supposed to mean? Reference it to what? All teams at some point have a bad season, that doesn't mean they are not a top level FB program.

The best comparison in terms of the pulse of the fanbase is Colorado. 100k fans giving off 50k noise is not impressive.

and that's supposed to mean what exactly? Playing at Texas is not a step up in atmosphere and competition for FSU?

There is an airport in Waco. It might not offer consumers non stop flights to anywhere, but it is certainly large enough for a college football team to fly into.

Lubbock is a cow town at best that reeks of manure and dust, but it has its own municipal airport. If you're driving, though, it's about 7 hours from Dallas.

Oh look, more of the childish Texas school rivalaries. Your cute zingers at TTU and Lubbuck may win points with your Aggie brethren, but they are completely irrelevant to this conversation.

When do you figure was the last time a major college football flew into Dallas and then drove to Lubbuck?

Ames, IA closes down literally at 6pm on Saturday.

What does that have to do with anything? We aren't discussing places hippsters should move. We are talking about ease/difficulty of football teams getting to these locations inorder to play a football game.

ND that has such a reputation for recruiting nationally still had a lot of kids from OH, IL, IN, NC...

they still recruit more national than any other school.

so, yes, that is why they have a reputation...

1. It is becoming a giant mess. Everyone wanted a playoff and now here we are.

If we had a 8,12, or 16 team playoff didn't there wouldn't be any realignment. Realignment started to get your team into a BCS game (MWC).
