NBA coaches are so used to playing their rotations that they stick to them even in win or go home games like this one and hurt their team.

At this point curry has missed the playoffs nearly half of his career. It is pretty clear that when he doesn’t have the best supporting cast in the league that his season almost always ends in mid April.
