he clearly did not maintain control after coming down with it. its clear as day in the replay
And the referee is supposed to say why a call is overturned, which they did not.
I don’t have any doubt at all the official was told what to do in this case, but officiating in general has been shite everywhere.

Yep completely bogus call. There was no definitive proof on replay.

I'm late to the party but you can't overturn that. If they called it no TD originally then fine but when you take that long to review, it's telling.

As a VT fan who got to sleep on it, I am back to my original anger at our coaches. Clock management, special teams decisions (essentially gave them 3 free points at half), etc
We should not have even needed a hail mary to win.
As for the catch, and of course I have maroon colored glasses, his butt was on the ground and in the end zone.
You can make the call either way.
But I am 100% confident that there was nothing irrefutable to overturn the on field call.
