I agree with you on Steinbrenner (sp?) as a great capitalist, another thing dying in America. I just don't like him, the team, the fans.... i just can't do it.

Donald Sterling/Steinbrenner? The difference in wanting to just make money and wanting to make money and field a winner.

As a lifelong Yankee fan that suffered thru the Donnie Baseball era, I do despise the bandwagoners. Also the negayankees that say they just win cause they outspend everybody. To those I say- see 2001-2008.

That being said- I prefer the teams of the late 90s with grinders like Brosius, Oneil, Leyritz, Coney, Tino etc

Jealous of what?

Duh, if you don't think everything the Red Sux have done in the last ten years is to copy the Yankees blueprint to build a team you are slower than papplebum.

If you are not a Yankees fan, and are only here to "spread the truth" do another one of your little research projects on the Red Sox organization. When you're finished, come back and have a decent argument. Because for you to make a statement like the one I have quoted shows you are ignorant to your opposition, and therefore ignorant on this issue.

Dude, listen to yourself. The reason the sox won the two championships and the yanks struggled until this year was mostly due to the fact that the yanks went out and bought unproven talents, and didn't hold onto their young prospects

dude, go ask any fan of any other team if they care about the green monster

trust me i know of baseball history, ive been a fan all my life, and i ahve a favorite team, but i also know the business end of it

and if it werent for the backlash from fans such as yourself, boston would probably have had another stadium built already

just watch, when the economy comes back and the yanks are winning titles and selling out the new palace, things will change

the only reason the yankees struggled is bc they bought shitty or no pitching

the red sox won bc they had studs like beckett, pedro, and schilling

the yanks are about to start a dynasty here

if they go out and get holliday, and cut loose of some of their dead weight like swisher and nady, look out

but seriously, the brewers have a loaded future at the positions

braun, hart, cameron (i really dont know much about your of prospects)
gamel, escobar, weeks, prince
who cares at catcher

thats a deadly offense

Respectfully, I disagree. I think Swisher has been huge for this team and it doesnt have much to do with on field performance. Yes, I know CC and Tex are the big difference but I think Swish and AJ have loosened this club up and make it more fun

First off, I'm not a dude, I'm a girl. But that's irrelevant... Moving on...

I agree with your point on Steinbrenner, I agree with your point about money, and capitalist, and blah blah blah. But you so strongly defend the Yankees organization. My point is you are missing what makes Red Sox fans who they are, and why things like the Green Monster are so important to us. It's an icon for all of baseball. What baseball fan doesn't know what the Green Monster is? We are not the reason Fenway hasn't been torn down yet. It's the home of the Red Sox. And you can't compare it to the old Alex Box... it's far from trash. It's well kept, and it's important to Red Sox Nation. Each organization has its "thing" and focusing on one to make an argument without understanding the other is just ignorance.
