Montana and Young were on stacked teams.

I always felt that as long as Elway could walk, he had a chance to make a play, either running or passing.

The crazy thing is, those 70s Dolphin teams were Csonka, Kick, Morris, and the No-Name defense.
In the 80s, it was all Marino and the Marks Brothers.

He didn’t even dominate in his own era

In his career he went to 5 Super Bowls at the time the record for a QB, (actually I think tied with Haley for most by anyone) still 2nd for an QB (Mahomes now tied) Only Brady has more.

He said he take Elway to succeed in any era not necessarily the same as best. Elway would probably do better than Montana/Young in the 60s or 70s

All 3 would do fine now but the 2 guys I’ve said for a while i would love to see play in modern offenses are Young and Staubach,

He was in the top 10 in pass attempts 11 times in 16 seasons. And like I said, top 10 in passer rating 5 times.

Elway had no running game or defense. The fact they got to the super bowl three times is a testament to his greatness.

When his skills were in decline, he finally got a running game and won.

Besides Marino, he was the most feared QB in pro football for nearly a decade

I’m just here to say Steve Young should be in the top ten.

Hated Elway as a kid because as a Raider fan would break my heart. But dude could thrive in any Decade. Phenomenal athlete, could've been an MLB Pro, just one of a kind.
