He is having a good year so far yardage wise.
A strong 5.0 YPC but 1 TD sucks.
Hopefully the TD mark improves on the back half of the season.

The NFL is full of backs that are big and fast. Fournette is basically Latavius Murray. Big and fast. His vision is just nonexistent. You can say all you want about bad offensive line play, outside of 4-5 teams that plagues the entire league. Saquon Barkley has been dominant in an equally bad situation in New York. Lesean Mccoy was a good back in buffalo. Kenyan Drake averages 4.7/carry and has spent his entire career in Miami. When a kid develops early like Fournette did they often fail to cultivate the skills they'll need when everyone else catches up. If you're always the biggest and fastest dude on the field then those are the tools you use. You don't develop vision because you don't need it. You don't develop patience because you don't need it. Then one day you do. On paper he is the perfect running back- but there were signs of his impending struggles dating back to college. The 3 years of bama tape should have been a red flag to every scout- he just could not cut it against equal or better competition.
The skills he does have, power and speed, will always lead to a few homeruns per season. That's what makes his career YPC even more alarming. The guy has multiple 70+ yard runs and is still averaging below 4.0 ypc in his career. I understood the hesitation to admit his shortcomings in his first two years, he'd been propped up on this site as the second coming of Jim Brown since he was 15 years old..but to those still denying his alarming mediocrity at this point in his career- you just lack the ability to view anything not tinted from purple and gold glasses

After 7 games Fournette is ranked 2nd under Cook in rushing. He has 144 attempts for 715 yards which is 5.5 yards a carry. He only has 1 TD. Longest run this season is 81 yards.
He has an offensive line ranked 28th in the league blocking for him. The numbers do not lie. You people watch him play one game because the Saints play JAX and you probably don’t follow the league beyond the Saints and you form your opinion on one game.
If he had any type of line and a decent QB, he would probably be leading the league in rushing. But yeah he isn’t a good RB.. fricking morons.
