Shouldn’t be any, looks like RBR advances are a better aero package

Yeah, I don't see that Red Bull seat anywhere in his future.
Maybe if Marko and Racey Spice both leave the team he has a chance to get it back.

I don't either. I should have clarified, one, Alpine probably isn't even better than AT. Two, you at least have a shot have a better shot at that Red Bull seat if it were to open being on the "sister" team.

You’ll never win a World Championship with AT though, but you might with Alpine.

They could be at the back of the midfield this year. I wouldn't be holding my breath
It's possible they only beat Haas and Williams this year. I would assume they're ahead of Alfa Romeo, but they could be a lot of points behind 5th.

Alonso was pushing to focus all efforts on 2022 so there might be something there.
Red Bull seems to be going hard for this year and not resting or looking ahead.
Has to be interesting discussions within each team on what to develop.

Im not arguing with anything you're saying, my thought is Alpine is just so far from a championship I'd rather hold out for that Red Bull seat.
If you're at AT or Alpine is it really that much different? Alpine is going to have to pass Merc and Red Bull for sure. At this point their behind Ferrari, McLaren, and Aston Martin and let's say pretty much even with AT as well. That's a huge jump to make to get in legit championship territory.

Good points. Alpine has a better chance of winning a championship than AT though. Whether they can get their shite together is another story.
AT will never finish ahead of RB for a season. They just aren't designed to. Alpine has nothing stopping them from winning a championship, except for themselves.

This is absolutely true. I guess it would come down to Gasly's trust in Apline. Personally, I don't see it so if I were him and I could keep being competitive in the AT id see my chance at a championship in The Red Bull.
But then you're definitely in the number 2 seat behind Ver

AT has less than half of Red Bull’s budget, that’s always going to be rough.

Alpine probably has much deeper pockets when it comes to paying him as well. Look at what they paid RIC for his two years.

Does the French government interfere with Renault’s management?
I am excited to see Alonso again.

Exciting qualifying. Ferrari much improved so far. McLaren looks solid.

What do y’all think - if Mercedes offered Verstappen a contract, would he leave Redbull?
Posted on 3/27/21 at 5:39 pm to Lima Whiskey
Not with Hamilton there.

Haha, I was waiting for a melt from him doing that. Saw another angle that had someone waving him forward to make room for Max, but that isn't as good a storyline as HAM trying to push the #2 to 1st place.

Who is his #2? Against GR, I think he stays at RB. However? Money talks.

Think it would be a coin toss at this point. The RBs look like they are on par with the Mercs now and with the new regs coming in, it should only tighten the field next year.
I think he would murder Hamilton if they were on the same team though.

I think RB would pay Max whatever to keep him from Merc
