Why would the Bengals want a 6-3 lead? They’ve turned away two chip shot field goals.

It's ridiculous. They're so worried about the analytics bullshite. The problem is the analytics only factor whether you should go for it on any one particular play each in it's own bubble. It doesn't factor the big picture.
And in this case the big picture is the Bengals are in a must win and their coach keeps leaving points on the field because muh analytics says go for it.

I don’t understand doing this early in a game. You never know when you will really want those 3 points.

the analytics are only as good as the raw inputs allow, there's too much they don't account for, like specific opponents, injuries, weather, is your kicker in a slump, yada yada,
it's so stupid when the analytics pop up on the tv and say 4th and less than 4 the analytics say go, there's so much more to the decision
