Yeah, because no one listens to what ESPN says and they can't sway voters at all.
And if you don't want it to not turn into a UGA thread then don't talk shite about them. It's like that with any fan base.

So an SEC non-winner should've gotten in over the SEC winner with the better resume?

I didn't say that. I was saying that ESPN didn't pump us up.

I don’t think Georgia beats the healthy LSU in the 2007 season. Now the banged up one is an entirely different story and I think they could’ve. And the reality is if they don’t choke vs a Spurrier team as usual they would have faced the banged up one in the SECCG and we would have found out if whether they could’ve or not.
Also: I don’t believe in transitive property in college football.
ESPN wasn’t loving on Georgia, in fact Herbstreit basically publically campaigned for Georgia to be left out of the national championship.
On this season in general, it's the one that really got me into college football. It was so crazy and I'd really like to see another similar season.

D Jax tho
Kansas and UK were really fun teams to watch too that year. UF got to #4, but lost to AU at home (who I thought was unranked)

Yeah, I believe we lost the Heisman frontrunner twice to injury that year.
It was also the year Alabama was beaten by ULM.

Upsets of ranked teams during the year. Italicized text means the lower ranked team was actually the betting favorite:
As I mentioned in the OP, 13 teams in the Top 5 were beaten by unranked teams during the season. According to ESPN, no other season in which there have been at least 20 teams ranked in the AP Poll has ever seen more than 8 such events.

Kansas was a beneficiary of a bad schedule.
They were.
But they still went to the Orange Bowl and beat heavily favored #5 Virginia Tech.
Wacky season.

I've never said we should have, but good to see your fanbase so insecure at the mere mention of our team that year.
A year in which a 4 team playoff would have been perfect and very intriguing. 1. OSU vs 4. UGA, 2. LSU vs. 3. USC
LSU still deserved to go over us, but UGA fans can't help but wonder if the two did meet what would happen.

We didnt. Nutt left for OM. Felix Jones and Darren Mcfadden trying their best not to get hit that day/hurt. We ran the same fake punt twice in a row (because of a flag)
Some mizzou posters were claiming a split national championship since they beat arkansas.

I was going to post this on your behalf. 2011, even though it was four years later, had to piss off UGA fans, especially when you consider LSU and UGA didn't play in 2007, which made the double standard worse.
UGA, LSU and Oklahoma State are all on the same level in the eyes of the media.

Maybe. I believe OSU, LSU, Oklahoma, and USC would have been the 4 chosen, considering you were splitting hairs amongst the 2 loss teams after LSU:

bcs wise, it was actually ohio state, lsu, virginia tech, and oklahoma. i just looked it up and thought that was interesting. didnt lsu smash virginia tech that year? not sure a playoff committee would have matched them up again.
