I've stayed there while the WSOP was in session in recent years, and watched friends sit in fold-a-thons full of pros and grinders, where there may 1 or 2 juicy pots in an entire hour..really tight tables..though plenty of bankroll was on the table..just very tight play.
The Bellagio has more action, if you have the cash to sit.
We basically lived in that poker room in 2007 and 2008 and the 5-10 game was anything but tight. I can remember one night playing with Lamont Jordan there when he sat with 10K waiting on the 10-20 game to open his seat. He opened 5 straight pots with a yellow 1K chip announcing raise pre flop. The Europeans love the Wynn and for the last two years mostly played there.

All were counters, and back when there were still plenty of single and double deck tables to be found.

I heard they have a single deck BJ game at Coushatta casino in Kinder that they open every now and then.

I'm not a blackjack pro but i've always been under the impression it is better for a counter to be at a 6 deck shoes than a single deck. You don't really get a count advantage in a single deck.

They have a pitch game open pretty much every day

I still dont really understand how card counting can help you too much lets say they are a lot of face cards left, you are supposed to up your bet right? but the dealer has just as much chance to get 2 of them?

The dealer has to hit 16 and below while you do not. That is where the player get's their advantage when there are mostly paint cards left. Also your blackjack pays more than theirs does if you bet the same

You all ever find a consistent roulette dealer? I found one once and bet the block he would hit approximately 2 ahead of the last number he hit so I would bet the last number he hit and the 6 in front and I hit 8 times in a row then of course they changed dealer...

I've never played anything outside of poker and blackjack. I play blackjack maybe once every 20-30 trips I play cards.
ETA: I think i've played craps once and three card twice shite faced looking back.

Billy Walters is the only one I've ever heard of that found and targeted a biased roulette wheel for major gain. Though I'm sure there has to be some other cases, especially if going way way back to less sophisticated security measured eras.

Thats a good idea. A big problem for me is gambling on other things besides poker when I take a bad beat or cooler and walk away from the table for awhile.

Just remind yourself "I don't want to be TJ Cloutier!"..aka win 500K,etc..in a tourney..and then walk straight out into the casino..leaving it at the dice table the exact same day.

I used to do that. The one thing that helped me stop was actually quitting smoking. I wasn't getting up near as often, so I wasn't running over to the blackjack table, getting 4 quarters and playing 4 seats in one deal. I know, dumb, but I was young.

Some of the Phil Ivey stories about this topic are much more impressive.

Heh yeah thats another time I did it.. I have since quit smoking so maybe that will help. I just find myself bored during those 10-20 minute breaks in tournaments.

I was doing it during cash games. Literally 3 minutes away from the table.

If Ivey's Poker skills weren't so impressive, his endorsement, freeroll, credit-lines, etc..benefits so strong..I'd have him booked for a Stu Unger motel stay one day..
I hope he never fails in health nor mental acuity, because his gambling addiction is as strong as Unger's drug-jones.

I imagine about half the best poker players have a big time gambling problem. I know the most well known guy from here Keith Lehr does.

Keith Lehr
He had me in tears at the El Dorado a few months ago. He was playing the 25/50 PL they play and raised a guy. The guy was grinding the call really hard, so Keith took his glass eye out, laid it on the table, pointed it at the guy, and said something like "I have my eye on you." The guy folded the winner face up.
ETA: Now he has a bad case of the Stu Ungars
