I thought the Red Sox would get louder boos than they did.

Yeah, and a bunch of Mets fans, which don't care about the Sox. Plus, it doesn't sound loud, even when Yankees are introduced, much just be because of the camera location.

ETA: The Yankee fans cheering for Boggs sickens me.

I'm curious: If the NL is up by one in the bottom of the ninth, and, say, Ortiz is up to tie/win it for the AL with two outs and the bases loaded, do you think the Yankee fans will want him to get a hit to win it or strikeout?

They've got a bunch of past legends, standing on the field at their "position", then the starters at those respective positions are introduced and run out and shake the "legends" hand.

Just play the fricking game. It's gonna be 9 o'clock eastern by the time they throw out the 1st pitch.

Where is everybody? There was a ton of people for the HRD yesterday posting, but hardly anybody so far tonight. Are they waiting for the game to actually start?

Why do they keep saying Yankee Stadium has never hosted an All-Star game?

Per wiki, Yankee Stadium hosted it in 1939, 1960, 1977, and now 2008.

I'm missing something, right?

Yes, which is why as a Mets fan, I really want the NL to win this (with the way the Mets are playing, you never know).

I get a little choked up when I see Willie Mays and Hank Aaron on the field.

That was really cool with the fans chanting "Yogi!Yogi!"
