Fighting is a huge part of hockey just like throwing at a hitter in baseball or a coach getting thrown out on purpose. I bet you wouldnt think it was a joke if you stood toe to toe with those guys.

thats all neat and everything.. but wait until some ex players get a lawyer and file a lawsuit against the NHL related to fighting, or MLB related to tolerating hit batters and take out slides, like the NFL is dealing with on the concussion issue.. tradition wont mean shite..

This is the kind of the stuff that makes the NHL have the best postseason of all sports IMO. Nothing matches the emotion and tension that builds throughout a 7 game series.
