The new poll has been released and there is some big movement as 4 of the top 9 lost last weekend. 4 of the top 6 are MVC SLC teams with a HUGE game for UCA this weekend. Boleded teams are from SLC and MVC. Italics teams are from Louisiana.
Underlined teams are ineligible for playoffs.

Nicholls is 29 and UNI 28 in the poll. Southeastern is getting a few votes this week. SIU is starting to get votes.

They have 4 losses by 18 points: to NDSU, Pitt, South Dakota, and then lost on road last week to UNI. They are that good.

That's the Valley, you know that. The MVC is miles ahead of everyone else, and it is not even close, no matter how hard they try to prop up the CAA.

It is somewhat puzzling how they have Wofford ahead of Samford, who they just beat at Wofford (by 3). It is also strange how they do not have UNI or NAU higher up. Here is where it will get tricky, IMO.

McNeese plays UCA Saturday. UCA wins, it kills McNeese but rewards CAA teams. McNeese wins it kills Nicholls, but rewards Sam St, who lost to UCA. For some strange reason the pollsters do not respect Nicholls at all. Must be the name recognition.

Youngstown is now in playoff mode, they have to win out. They will move them up again with a win. I also think them ranking Grambling and A&T that high is absurd.

Southern Utah is strange team to figure out also.

They have 3 top 25 wins but still are ranked low. If they win out they just mess everything up. SUU gets NAU last game of the year at home.

Absolutely massive game in Hammond this weekend. I know SLU will be considered the underdogs, but the last two times Sam came into the Berry, we were too and they left crying. Nothing makes me happier than beating these cocky, obnoxious, entitled, hypocritical, douchebags and I hope we run it down their throat.

Briscoe is good, but he can be slowed down, and they have absolutely no running game. If Nunez protects the football, which he has been doing, we will be able to move the ball. PJ Hall is fading this year, and this is the best o-line Roberts has had at SLU, so that will help us in the trenches.

Beating Sam at home to win the SLC was one of the best memories I've had of a live sporting event, and hopefully the team and fans recreate that atmosphere this weekend.

Youngstown is now in playoff mode, they have to win out. They will move them up again with a win. I also think them ranking Grambling and A&T that high is absurd.

Yep...A&T wouldn't finish 7th in the MVFC, it is absurd to see them at #7. I completely agree, they played a Richmond team that was ravaged by injuries last year in the playoffs last year and got demolished. This year they've beaten nobody but Charlotte who I doubt would even be ranked in the FCS.

YSU is definitely in desperation mode, fortunately for them their schedule eases up a bit but Ill State and SIU are still tough.
