Why would Montana want to move up? They are competitive in Basketball and in womens sports. No reason to blow up your run. They also do not have the Fan support, to do so.

Basketball is all Div-1 so that's irrelevant
They have as much fan support as anyone in the WAC not named Boise. Their average attedance is almost 24,000 which is much more than a number of FBS teams

You have to average 30K and Montana doesnt have the people there to support a move up. Plus with the move up it would make them raise scholarship levels. Right now they can split them in football, with a move up they cant, as FBS is all or none in scholarships.
