you do know Evangel controlled the ball pretty fricking well and didn't make any mistakes AND owned the battle of field position nearly the entire game? I don't remember a Curtis game in ages where they got so few sacks.
That's my point. Defense shut down Curtis running attack and force them to throw the ball. Granted Evangel QB had some decent throws, but nothing to get excited about.

all i meant was it wasnt the usual dominant Curtis d line performance because the QB dropped back so far. trust me, I know ya don't see Curtis get held to that few of points often.

The truth is if Evangel offense should of scored alot more than they did.

Neither team really seemed like well oiled machines like you usually expect from them. Some of it was they were each playing another very athletic team. But I think part of it was just that they weren't executing - dropped passes, interceptions, fumbles, poor kicking game, etc. etc.

Just another example of north Louisiana boys bitch slapping south Louisiana pretenders.

It would be great if Haynesville, Neville and West Monroe followed Evangel's lead tomorrow. Four champs from North Louisiana.

Duron was the difference. He moved well in the pocket and his throws were accurate. Evangel won even without much of a running game.

you realize he rarely stepped in the pocket right? most of what he did was drop back 10-15 yards behind the line of scrimmage
