Why do you skip over what I’m asking of you? Why are y’all always going after ‘white culture’ while completely ignoring the negative aspects of ’black culture’? Why do y’all constantly attack another group of people without even acknowledging that some sort of responsibility has to come from the African American side? For the past 4+ years, probably waaayy longer, we as white Americans have had to shoulder ALL the blame for the shortcomings of black America. How the frick is that fair?

None of what you said makes any sense. Let’s assess the lyrics on their face: innocuous. Let’s assess the original intent of the song title (based off Robert E. Lee telling his students at Washington and Lee basically the same thing): the state of Texas is watching and expects the students to go out and do great things. Nothing about any of this is racist, it’s only “racist” bc SJW losers make a massive reach for a racist undertone to express their hatred for America and a song that functions as a source of state pride for Texans, white, black, and brown. The whole minstrel stuff is overblown bc SJW losers try to make everything political and about hating America instead of just enjoying life and taking everything for the context of its time, so if Nazis enjoyed eating popcorn we should cancel popcorn? I don’t get this, Trump was right about Jefferson and Washington and all that. The song and the pride it instills in Texans throughout generations overshadows whatever negative connotations losers want to apply to it to cancel it, that’s how I interpret the song and why we honor our founders and great figures throughout history despite a flaw or two in their character (taken for the context of their time).

Answer the question dum dum. Well actually I will, no it does not because it’s all a superficial thing that doesn’t accomplish anything tangible.

So the answer is no. Conservatives only want the cancel culture they don't like to go away. While preserving the cancel culture they wish to keep. There is a word for that kind of behavior.

white pussy arguing with a black guy about cancel culture, white guy in favor of it

You are not really stupid enough to equate a piece of shite look at me a-hole like kapernick with innocent traditions being attacked.

figured I’d shed deeper light on the element of racism in the song

I’ve lived in Texas most of my life. Several family members, including my mother, graduated from UT. She was in the band as well. That song wasn’t performed with racist thoughts in mind. It was an old wound that had long been healed, but today’s culture has people that love to use the past as a way to screw up the present.

Donors threatening to pull their money over a conversation about removing a song that had a racist element to it clearly doesn’t exemplify white supremacy

Would it be racist to assume that all donors or season ticket holders are white?
