Ed Rush resigns as the Pac 12 coordinator of officials

Rush also thanked the conference for giving him the opportunity.
Scott told the AP a day earlier that Rush made an "inappropriate joke" before the Pac-12 tournament semifinals offering a group of officials $5,000 for a trip to Cancun if they called a technical foul on Miller, but that every official interviewed confirmed "nobody thought they were getting a reward."

should've happened when the reports first came out...
I still hope that ref that T'd up Miller in the PAC-12 tourney gets his trip to cancun, though... only seems fair for carrying out the orders of his supervisor.

It has since come out, thru off the record, direct interviews with several refs in the room, that no one took it as a joke. And Rush made these comments on 2 separate occasions. The refs said that he was considered a bully & no one ever heard him joke about anything. The reference to it being a joke came from the league's commissioner press release.
