Nah his defense is that bad. Even Merril was only -8 in 24 minutes and he had his worst night ever from 3 point range. 0-7

Flawed example. That player already got his points. If you sit Harden then an additional player with no minutes has to play. If everyone moved ip a notch then the first benchwarmer has to play.
The problem was them signing him. They then had to play him.

I know Garland had injury issues and was a bit disappointing, but I’d have held on to him.
